December 2018 Christmas Day Celebration
The month of December makes us happy because of the Christmas day celebration. Christmas means loving, sharing, caring and reuniting the family as such here at MJC everyone were united in the John Job Auditorium on 22nd December 2018.
The celebration began by the prayer and prayer song of Pastor Jesudas and the MJC choir to invoke the presence of the almighty and continued with Bible reading, Chief Guest address, Presidential address and Cultural programs. The Chief Guest gave the Christmas massage about why and how Christmas needs to be celebrated. She gave an inspiring message with song and quotes of the Bible verse.

The celebration concluded with gift distribution to Staff and some of the students of MJC. Rev.Dr.Jacob Thomas winded up the program with a prayer.
July 2018 The 2nd  International Conference on “e-Learning Technologies for inclusive Classrooms"
Michael Job Memorial College of Education For Women (MJCOE) organized the 2nd International Conference on “E-Learning Technologies for Inclusive Classrooms” on 2nd July 2018 in the Virtual Classroom in commemoration of  our founder late Dr.P.P.Job.

The Chief Guest Dr.Mallika Vijayakumar, Senior Assistant Professor, Department of Media and Communication, Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences and Mr.Vijaya Kumar inaugurated the conference at 10:30 am. Our Vice President- Mr.Thampy Koshy, Rev.Dr.Jacob Thomas – Director - Academic Affairs, Mr. Vinod Mathew- Deputy CEO & Dr.R.Ravi -Principal , MJCOE  hosted the conference.About 70 National and International Papers were presented in two technical Sessions. 150 participants participated in the Conference.

Technical Session – I was chaired by Rev.Dr.Jacob Thomas  and Mrs.T.Masani Priya, Assistant Professor in Computer Science Education, MJCOE. Technical Session –II was chaired by Dr.Mallika Vijayakumar and Dr.R.Ravi. Participants from Central and State Universities presented their papers reaffirming the potential of technology in the Inclusive Classrooms. The Conference included keynote speech by Mr.Johan Van Der Ham (Netherland).

The Foreign delegates Ms.Dara Cassady, Director of Online Learning, Hibernia College, Ireland;Ms.Mary Forbes, Content Development Manager,English Language Teaching Division,Oxford University Press; Dr. Reena George,Lecturer,Department of International Development, University of Vienna; Mr.Joseph Ponnely shared their Knowledge and experiences through presenting their papers Online.

January 2018 One-Day Workshop on “In-Service Training on Instructional Designing for Teachers”

The Workshop was inaugurated under the leadership of our principal Dr.R.Ravi . The Workshop was taken by  an Eminent Technological Resource person Dr.M.Parthasarathy, Assistant Professor,  Department of Educational Technology, Bharathiar University. He is the most widely sourced personality in the Educational Technology Field. Workshop was divided into two sessions – Presentation cum Technical Session and  Training Session.

In the Presentation Session , Resource person of the day, an expert in Educational Technology field delivered his presentation on the Evolution and the process of Instructional Designing. He categorized the learning activities into Absorb,Do and Practice activities based on which the Instructional Material to be designed. He stressed the importance of integrating technology in the Teaching-learning Process for providing effective learning experiences to the students. He elucidated the creation of slideshow kind of Instructional Material package step by step using the Adobe Flash Software. He explained the important Flash Tools in detail with usage  needed for designing the Instructional package.The Instructional Package can be used as a self learning material by the students for Individual Learning.

In the Training Session , Faculties of both MJCOE and MJHSS participated in the Instructional Material package development process using FLASH software. The package was developed by the faculties individually in the Computer lab. Resource Person guided the faculties in designing their digital material.Faculties worked  very enthusiastically  and also interacted with the resource person for any clarifications. 

January 2018- Aids Awareness programme
The AIDS AWARENESS PROGRAMME was organized  by MICHAEL JOB MEMORIAL COLLEGE OF EDUCATION FOR WOMEN on 02.01.2018. Dr.R.Ravi ,Principal delivered a  short lecture among the students ,about  HIV/AIDS has been with us for about two decades as a problem whose solution continues to elude us all. We are making some progress in understanding this challenge, but we still have a long way to go in containing its spread.    
Although people from all walks of life are affected, AIDS is hitting hard at the most vulnerable sections of our society. It is the poor, the illiterate, the marginalized, the women and the children who bear most of the burden of the HIV epidemic.

He affirmed that he had a chance to interact with HIV AIDS Patient, and he explained that mosquito bite cannot spread HIV’, sharing cloths cannot spread HIV’ etc. Nowadays  people are aware about HIV AIDS and they know how to prevent it.
After the lecture students took part in an interaction & cleared their misconception  ‘The queries were answered by the Principal. AIDS Awareness Programme was really a fruitful session to all the students

Christmas is the spirit of giving without a thought of getting. Soaking in the spirits of Christmas, Michael Job Institutions celebrated the festival on 22nd December 2017.The entire campus & John Job auditorium was festooned with colorful streamers and balloons and a brightly decorated Auditorium. The celebration began with a prayer song by Pastor Jesudas and the MJC choir to invoking the presence of the Almighty, and continued with Bible reading by Ms Lydia. Mr.T.Koshy, Head MJC welcomed the gathering with a Christmas message. And our Chair person presided over the function. The chief guest for this wonderful Morning was Dr.K.V.Kuppusamy Chairman, RVS Educational Trust who shared his Christmas as a message with the audience with an inspiring narrative speech about Jesus; he urged each and every one to respond to call of Christmas by responding to people who are in need.

The celebration was concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mr. Joseph Elias, Superintendent, Sabina Hostel. It was a wonderful experience for all. At the conclusion of Christmas Celebration closing prayer was and Benediction was given by Rev Dr. Jacob Thomas, he spoke few words about Jesus. On the whole, the Programe was a grand success.

November 2017 National Education Day Celebration
Michael Job Memorial College of Education for Women celebrated National Education Day on November 11 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad.

Dr .G.Victoria Naomi, Professor in Special Education, Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women was the Chief Guest of the event.  She addressed the students and shared insights the importance of education in an individual’s life. She mentioned that education is a magic wand that can help us meet any challenge. Education is necessary not only because it can get us jobs or status in society but is essential as it enables us to build a new world. It is magical because it helps us rediscover ourselves. She also shared statistics on India’s Global Ranking and insisted that technological advancements can make India a better competitor globally. She pointed out that teachers and students play a vital role in building up the future of our nation. Her words were indeed very informative and thought provoking.  The speech was followed by a Q & A session and therefore extremely interactive.

The student interaction session was followed by a Faculty interaction session, wherein various subjects were discussed upon and guidance sought. Dr .G.Victoria Naomi assured that she will guide and support MJC students and faculty in getting a chance for taking up Ph.D. in Education at Avanishilingam University.

Subsequently, competitions were held around Elocution, Dance, Debate, Poetry and Skit.

November 2017 Herbal Garden inauguration:
An Inaugurated function of herbal garden was held on 4.11.2017at Michal Job Memorial college of education for women.The programme was inaugurated by Rev.Dr.Jacob Thomous and Mrs.Jacob Thomous,and Dr.R.Ravi,Principal Of Michal Job Memorial college of education for women. Staff and Ind year B.Ed students were participated.. The main Purpose of the program is to develop and preserve the herbs.

Novemer 2017 - A Three day workshop on “Preparation of Digital Dictionary for Tamil Language”
Michael Job Memorial College of Education for Women, organised a  three  day  Workshop  on “ Preparation of Digital Dictionary for Tamil  Language” that was held on 31st October 2017 to 2nd November 2017 at the Seminar Hall .

The Workshop was inaugurated by Mr.Babu.P.Varu , Trustee – MJC  and  initiated under the leadership of our principal Dr.R.Ravi . The Workshop was taken by two Resource persons Mr. Kalaimuthu kaliaperumal,Director Quillar ,Malaysia and Dr. Kingston Paul Thamburaj, Senior Lecturer at Sultan Iris Education University. The Workshop was organised for the Student Teachers and Teacher Educators. The chief Guest explained the cultural heritage of our tamil language and his path towards this Tamil Digital Dictionary. His deep love for Tamil and dedication to spread Tamil language was very astounding.

Participants were introduced to the Quillar site for registration to become a registered user for the process. Student Teachers and Teacher Educators were guided by them to register  in the to get the serial number for downloading the Agarathi tamil font. This is the first entry to build the Tamil Digital Dictionary.

September 2017  - Celebration of Basant Panchami

On 28/09/2017 (BASANT PANCHMI) the environment of MICHEAL JOB MEMORIAL was fully spiritual, because grand pooja of Goddess Saraswati was organized by the college and all girls participates in this with traditional fervour. Seminar Hall was decorated with coloured light, papers and flowers. Books, Pens and Inkpots were kept in front of the Saraswati Pratima .The enthusiasm and attraction for the Saraswati Pooja was in the minds of the each student. All the students, teachers, faculties, guardian and staffs offered Puspanjali. After the Pooja, distribution of Prasad was done among all. Students have enjoyed this The function organized by the student reflects the deep educative value. Students learn to be spiritual in their life and they also learn the
value of Co-operation, Amity and Leadership.

September 2017 - A One day Workshop on “ Future Trends in Educational Technology”
Michael Job Memorial College of Education for Women organised a One-Day Workshop on  03rd September 2017 in MJCOE Seminar Hall on “ Future Trends in Educational Technology”. Dr.M.Parthasasrathy, Assistant Professor in Education in the Department of Educational Technology , Bharathiar University was the technological resource person for this workshop. He explained the future trends of technology in education. He showed many technological tools and techniques that are available for usage by all educators.

August 2017 - Pre Independence Day Celebration
The pre Independence Day celebration was conducted by students and staff of the college on August 12, 2017. B.Ed I Year stu dents were filled with enthusiasm to celebrate this great day. Everyone from staff members, decoration team, coordination team, organizing team and participants were all geared up and enthused for the occasion.

The Seminar hall was adorned by the decoration team, prior to independence program. Traditional dance forms were there from the state of Kerala and Tamilnadu. The foot tapping numbers took every one by its stride Melodious songs made it a spectacular evening coloured with the feeling of patriotism And Rev Dr.Jacob Tho mas and Mrs Elizabeth Jacob Thomas were the chief guest of the Independence Day programme.

July 2017 - International Conference on "Technology Integration for Educational Empowerment  of  Women”
Michael Job Memorial College of Education For Women (MJCOE) organized an International Conference on “ Technology Integration for Educational Empowerment  of  Women” during 3rd July 2017 in the MJCOE Seminar Hall in commemoration of  our founder late Dr.P.P.Job. The Chief Guest Dr.Reena Mary George, Project Head, Resource Cell for Juvenile Justice,  Tata  Institute of Social Sciences & Rev.Dr.Jacob Thomas , International Resource Person in the area of Women Empowerment  inaugurated the conference on 10:30 AM.

Our Chairperson Dr.Mary Job, Vice President, Mr.Thampy Koshy , Secretary & Trustee Mr.Babu.P.Varu , Dr.R.Ravi , Principal , MJCOE also hosted the conference. Dr.Leonard Ashok, Principal, CMS College of Education and Dr.S.Susheela , Principal, St.Peters College of Education lead the technical sessions in the Conference. Technical Sessions were chaired by Dr.Reena Mary George, Rev.Dr.Jacob Thomas.The Keynote speakers were Mr.Johan Van Der Ham (Netherland) and Mrs.Jayne Bagwel (England).

About 75 Papers were received from Tamil Nadu and  Other states like kerala , Karnataka & Jammu and Kashmir and was presented in two technical Sessions. 150 participants participated in the Conference.
